Quinn chair
I was at HomeGoods this past Saturday, looking for random things to put in my garden. I searched through the store and found some decorative ceramic orbs. At the cash register, the lady said another woman had come by earlier and cleaned them out of the larger, cooler orbs. Argh! I was too late! So I decided to drive one town over to another HomeGoods and see if they had any big ones left...
At store #2 all I saw were crackled metallic orbs - not my thing. So I made sure to go through the whole store and see if I saw anything else I liked. In the back of the store, in the furniture section, I spotted it. My jaw dropped open. I walked over to this amazing-looking chair, which looked almost identical to one I had seen at Room & Board, called the Quinn Chair. Now, for reference, the Quinn goes for $750, and the matching ottoman is $400. Shipping is another $300, for a grand total of $1450...
I tip-toed over to the HomeGoods version of the Quinn and looked for the price tag. Ah, red clearance sticker... Only $250, ottoman included!!! AAAHHHH!!!
Needless to say, the chair now lives at my house:
Where is the womb chair going to go? I have no idea. For now I'm putting it in the guest/storage room. I always wanted to find a matching ottoman for it, but I never found one cheaper than $300 - nevermind the insane amount of money to get the set reupholstered: I was quoted $900 plus fabric, just to do the chair! I'll deal with that later, though. For now, all I can think about is my beautiful, new, "Quinn" chair.
