Look what I just bought on Etsy! I Love it!!!! I purchased this Ingraham Daisy Wall Clock from Etsy seller One More Smile. It's going in the kitchen!
Also check out these mugs from Etsy shop Vintage Tea. They are still available at only $8.95!

So this past weekend I took a letterpress and book-binding workshop at Albertine Press. We started off Saturday working with lead type. I can't believe people used to use this type for making newspapers back in the day, it's very tedious work.
Sunday was the book-binding part of the workshop, led by Angela Liguori. I had always wanted to learn about book-binding, but was a little intimidated by the whole process. I have to say when you see someone doing it it's so much easier to learn! Angela brought in beautiful papers, with which each person in the class made a soft-cover book and a hard-cover book. Later on she showed us some examples of other work she's made - absolutely stunning! Check out her Etsy shop.

"1950 Laxative Ad: Perfect happiness is just a dump away."

Check out these colorful bags from Etsy shop Erica Bazile.

I got creative last weekend and finally made a home for my brooches... well most of them. I think I'm going to have to make more of these, I don't think my brooch obsession is going to end anytime soon.
Check out the new hoop.dee.do embroidery hoop bulletin board, what a cute idea! You can find them at Etsy shop Little Pretty Studio. I love their fabric choices! Also Jennifer, one of the creators, has a cute blog you should check out: Paper and Ink.

Etsy shop Tumbled Shards makes these gorgeous bouquets using vintage buttons. I can't stop staring at the red button arrangement, what a great way to display old buttons!

Check out Etsy's Suspect shoppe. It's the artwork of san francisco based artist Mati Rose McDonough. featured in the shoppe are children's book illustrations, doily elephants, tube socked lions, suspicious kittens and mod feathered friends!

One item that always seems to fly off the shelves on Etsy is vintage mugs and cups from the 1950's to the 70's. As you can see by the cup collections below, people get addicted to collecting small beautiful things. :P

I took a walk today and I finally remembered to bring my camera. I enjoy walking around the Mystic River every other day. It's so peaceful and filled with so many birds, I walked under a hawk today and I saw a cute woodpecker.

Echo recently began reintroducing a select number of their most popular scarf designs dating back to the 1940s.Vintage detailing includes hand rolled hems and the original Echo logo from the time period in which the design originated.
Have a good weekend everyone!
